Born Blind

A few days after our daughter was born we noticed that it appeared that her pupil was missing in her left eye. Not sure what it was, we called the doctor, had an appointment with him outside office hours, and ended up visiting Children's Hospital the next day for an eye specialist to take a look. It turns out that she was born with a unilateral congenital cataract in her left eye causing her to be blind in that eye. The road ahead for her will be fill with doctor visits, contact lenses, and surgery, to hopefully restore as much sight as we can.
