Winter van life Scotland | Cairngorms

Following our previous trip to Glencoe, we headed to the Cairngorms national park in our VW California camper van on the east of the Scottish highlands.
we decided to stay on campsites here due to lack of planning, numerous wild camp park ups now being clamped down and the impending bad weather forecast.
Starting with a night at Glenmore campsite on Loch Morlich, just outside Aviemore, to Dalraddy holiday park which is situated on the Dalraddy and Alvie estate.
Both campsites are brilliant options which suit a wide range of different types of camping people with lots of activities on the door step of both locations.
We spent new year in Dalraddy which is beautiful, despite the days of rain we experienced.

Despite new Covid 19 restrictions, we managed to visit the beautiful city of Berlin for their Christmas markets.
Of course, the Gluhwein and Bratwurst were the main reason to visit but you can't visit the capital of Germany without visiting key historic locations such as the Berlin wall (East side gallery), Holocaust memorial, checkpoint Charlie and the stunning architecture.
Berlin has numerous Christmas markets and we managed to visit around 6 of them but Alexanderplatz has to be our favourite! It's huge, the choice of food and drinks is amazing and the atmosphere was vert festive, despite everyone having to produce covid passports and wear FFP2 face masks.
