Interview: Tomáš – network administrator
My name is Tomáš. I am 37 years old, married, have three children. I got to Aikido, probably just like everyone else, thanks to the famous actor Steven Seagal when, at the age of 18, I began training in the town of Banská Bystrica.
After two years, unfortunately, I had to give Aikido up in Banská Bystrica as I moved to the region of Záhorie where, some time later, I joined the club Kurilla Budokan.
A splendid choice this was – I couldn’t have chosen better; I work namely as a system and network administrator and my job exerts quite a great deal of pressure and stress on me; I have to be constantly available on the phone. For me, Aikido was in some way an escape route leading to a totally different world – a world full of rules working just the way they should, a world where you get to know many new people, many interesting people from various fields, and where your self-confidence or sense of discipline get fostered so that you can improve yourself universally in every possible aspect of your life. As a result, I don’t regret my decision but instead recommend Aikido to everybody.
