At the Malama Pono `Ia Na Koa race, the Healani Novice Mix crew faced a challenging start, but we didn’t let it define our race. This was my first time steering in a competition, which added to the pressure, but the team’s trust and determination kept us pushing forward. Despite the rough beginning, we found our rhythm, powered through, and fought our way back to an impressive 3rd-place finish. It was a race to remember, and I’m proud of how we came together as a crew!
