ALS Advocate Fran Finney and the cryptocurrency community plan to join forces again for the second annual Running Bitcoin virtual event in memory of legendary cypherpunk, Hal Finney. Hal was one of the first supporters of bitcoin and in 2009, shortly after he famously tweeted: “Running bitcoin” he received the first bitcoin transaction for 10 BTC from Satoshi in block 170. It was just a few short months later that Hal was diagnosed with ALS. He lived valiantly with the disease for five more years, and passed away in August, 2014.
