Dieses Video gehört zur einer Sammlung von Materialien, die im Zusammenhang mit meinem PhD-Projekt "Programmatische Orgelimprovisation" entstanden sind. Es wird betreut von Prof. Dr. Magda Mayas und Prof. Dr. Antonio Baldassarre an der Hochschule Luzern - Musik und findet statt im Rahmen einer Kooperation mit der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik Freiburg i. Brsg.

Bei den Improvisationen geht es um den Versuch, spezielle programmatische Ideen auf der Orgel in Klänge umzusetzen. Ich erläutere die verwendeten Techniken und Klänge und gebe teilweise auch den Übeprtozess wieder, so dass mehrere Versionen eines Stücks zu sehen und zu hören sind.

In allen Improvisationen erklingt die Melodie eines Chorals. Das bedeutet nicht, dass die Improvisationen als Choralbearbeitungen zu verstehen sind. Vielmehr bietet der Choral eine Orientierung für Form und Harmonik des Stücks. Zum Teil bezieht sich die Idee der Improvisation auf Begriffe, die im Text des Chorals vorkommen.

Das Projekt ist als Prozess zu verstehen, und die Veröffentlichung auf YouTube ist als Einladung an Zuschauer zu verstehen, die Videos zu kommentieren oder Fragen dazu zu stellen.

This video is part of a collection of materials that were created in connection with my PhD project "Programmatic Organ Improvisation". It is supervised by Prof. Dr. Magda Mayas and Prof. Dr. Antonio Baldassarre at Hochschule Luzern - Musik and takes place as part of a cooperation with Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Freiburg i. Brsg.

The improvisations are about trying to convert special programmatic ideas into sounds on the organ. I explain the techniques and sounds used and sometimes also show the practice process so that several versions of a piece can be seen and heard.

The melody of a chorale can be heard in all improvisations. This does not mean that the improvisations should be understood as chorale arrangements. Rather, the chorale offers an orientation for the form and harmony of the piece. In part, the idea of ​​improvisation refers to terms that appear in the text of the chorale.
