Mixing LOUD with CTZ - Ep. 8 - Hitting ANY loudness target with "the VCA trick"

In this video I show you how easy it is to use ONE KNOB to adjust the entire clipper cascade , so that you can test what your mix sounds like at ANY loudness target. Want to hear what the mix sounds like with more dynamics and less loudness? Twist a knob. Want to hear what the mix sounds like clipped even harder, with more loudness (and less dynamics)? Twist a knob. The CTZ approach makes this super easy and 100% consistent and predictable. This is episode 8 in a series about how to mix for loudness, in large part by using a specific approach to gainstaging and dynamic range control that I call the "Clip-to-Zero (CTZ) strategy".
