Looking for a more meaningful and less commercialized way to celebrate the holidays?
If you’re struggling to figure what to celebrate this time of year and why, the Waldorf tradition of celebrating Advent (which means “that which is coming”) recognizes that at this time of year, we are in the darkness of Winter searching for Light. No matter what spiritual tradition you come from, Advent is a way to working toward being the most loving, compassionate and respectful version of yourself on this planet.
In this training lead by Waldorf Mentor Barbara Rose Balock, you'll discover:
What is Advent within Waldorf Schools?
How is this time of year celebrated among many traditions, cultures and religions around the world?
What is the symbolism of the light coming back to the darkness?
