In February 1992 I made a trip to Montreal to catch big MLW power on CP and CN. I was hampered by nearly continuous snowfall the whole weekend with treacherous driving, which led to me sitting at various locations like Dorval waiting for the trains to come to me. By that time the Alcos were relegated to trailing status on most trains, but it still made for a great show. I also caught 1 set of LRC locos operating push-pull as originally intended, and the MUCTC ex-CP F units were also entertaining.
