In this episode, two crooks using a map of the New York underground hatch a plan to dig a tunnel into a bank vault. When the tunnel collapses, the two must improvise and start digging towards the East River…along the way they discover a buried ship full of treasure!

In this episode, a night club singer named Vicki is on her honeymoon with her husband in New Orleans. After a visit to a local jazz cafe Vicki becomes obsessed with the owner’s band and wants to go there every night…and her husband is not very happy about it.

In this episode, two men rob a bank and one gets caught and goes to jail. After seventeen years when the crook is paroled, his buddy lies secretly in wait to follow him to the location of the stolen loot.

29. (1:29:04) “Death Writes a Letter” – Written by Robert A. Arthur and David Kogan - Starring: Carl Caruso (announcer), Eric Dressler, Roger De Koven, Bryna Raeburn, Maurice Tarplin, Paul Taubman (organist) - May 18, 1948.
In this episode, a story of two brothers John and Martin Drake. John believes in spiritualism and after he dies he is able to possess Martin’s body and write a letter foretelling of the death of Martin’s daughter…and Martin’s death too!

30. (1:58:22) “Murder Is My Business” – Written by Robert A. Arthur and David Kogan - Starring: Shirley Black, Carl Caruso (announcer), Richard Coogan, Eric Dressler, John Sylvester, Maurice Tarplin, Paul Taubman (organist) - June 8, 1948.
In this episode, radio mystery writer David Phillips receives a lucrative offer to work for a demanding producer who insists that his murder plots aren’t plausible. The constant disrespect for his writing doesn’t sit well with David...so he sets out to prove his surly boss wrong!

The Mysterious Traveler was an anthology radio series, a magazine, and a comic book. All three featured stories which ran the gamut from fantasy and science fiction to straight crime dramas of mystery and suspense.

Written and directed by Robert Arthur and David Kogan, the radio series was sponsored by Adam Hats and began on the Mutual Broadcasting System, December 5, 1943. The show continued in many different time slots until September 16, 1952. During its run 370 Mysterious Traveler episodes were produced, only 75 of the originals still exist today.

Cast members included Jackson Beck, Lon Clark, Roger DeKoven, Elspeth Eric, Wendell Holmes, Bill Johnstone, Joseph Julian, Jan Miner, Santos Ortega, Bryna Raeburn, Frank Readick, Luis van Rooten, Ann Shepherd, Lawson Zerbe and Bill Zuckert. Sound effects were by Jack Amrhein, Jim Goode, Ron Harper, Walt McDonough and Al Schaffer.
