The plan was to see Scotsman arrive at Newcastle… However, due to a coach fault at York, the tour was heavily delayed by 2 hours and was to be diesel hauled out and back to London. Flying Scotsman was, luckily for us, taken off NCL and ran around its support coach and took it TENDER FIRST to Tyne S.S. An eventful return for the World’s Most Famous Loco.
