Andrew Hartman is an American historian, author, and academic. He is a professor of history in the College of Arts and Sciences at Illinois State University. He is the author of Education and the Cold War: The Battle for the American School (Palgrave Macmillian 2012), A War for the Soul of America,(University of Chicago Press 2015), and Karl Marx in America (University of Chicago Press 2025).
