Drone video from WVTM's Sky 13 shows firefighters battling a massive fire that has displaced at least 18 people in Birmingham's Five Points South neighborhood Friday.
Fire crews said people heard the sound of glass breaking before the fire first started at a vacant business on 20th Street South. It then spread to two apartment and condominium buildings just after 5:30 a.m.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue said the fire spread to a brick apartment and condominium buildings on either side. A total of three buildings have been involved.
