The Man Who Traveled to Every Country in the World

Marco Agustín Chaler is a world traveler from Spain who has spent his entire life traveling to every country in the world.
Marco drove me in his car to see many amazing locations in Spain including the Sanctuary of the Virgen of la Balma in Spain and Morello.

At 12:25 in video Agustin and I visit The Sanctuary of the Virgin of Balma (El Santuario de la Virgen de Balma).
The Sanctuary of the Virgin of Balma is located in the municipality of Zorita del Maestrazgo, 2 miles from the town center, in the Province of Castellón. It is a religious building carved right from the rock, in Renaissance style. It was built between the 16th and 18th centuries.
La Balma is an important pilgrimage center (on the famous El Camino hike). There was a cult of Saint Mary Magdelene at the beginning of the 20th century, and women from Aragón walked there to be cured of being "possessed". This pilgrimage center against "Els Malignes" or possessed people, became popular in the 18th century, to request cures from demonic possession. Since 1979, the sanctuary has been declared a historic artistic monument. The sanctuary is nestled in the rock. It is located in a cave on one side above the Bergantes River. You walk through the vaulted shelter to the cave where the image of the Virgin Mary is found. The Virgin Mary was found by a shepherd in the 15th century.
To get there from Zorita, cross the Bergantes River. Then you follow the Aragon road along the left bank of this river, and after passing the Rosell ravine, follow a shortcut that goes down a steep slope until you reach the little chapel of the Virgin of La Balma. Here, the climb begins towards the sacred mountain.
This is a sanctuary with a grotto. The sanctuary has a church, a guest house and a summer resort. The sanctuary itself was already known in the 14th century. It is half building / half grotto. It is located in a natural shelter with a bell tower. Next to it, is a Guest House of historical importance that was built in the 16th century.
At the sanctuary, you will find the Covered Cross. This is one of the most emblematic crosses of the Crown of Aragon. After walking for a few minutes, you will find the entrance to the Guest House and the hermitage. The guest house is under the hackberry tree, that gives shade to the fountain. The hermitage-cave was built in 1667.
At 20:45 in the video: Hieronymus Bosch (1450 – 9 August 1516) was a Dutch painter from Brabant, Netherlands. He is one of the most notable representatives of the Early Netherlandish painting school. His work, mainly contains fantastic illustrations of religious concepts. Within his lifetime, his work was collected in the Netherlands, Austria, and Spain, and widely copied, especially his macabre and nightmarish depictions of hell.
“The Garden of Earthly Delights” is the modern title that is given to his triptych oil painting. This oak panel was painted by the early Netherlandish master Hieronymus Bosch, between 1490 and 1510. Bosch painted this where he was between 40 and 60 years old. Bosch's religious beliefs are unknown, but interpretations of the work assume it is a warning against the perils of sin and temptation.
Twentieth-century art historians are divided as to whether the triptych's central panel is a moral warning or a panorama of Paradise Lost (by Dante). Bosch three large triptychs (the others are “The Last Judgment of c. 1482 and The Haywain Triptych of c. 1516). Each panel was essential to the meaning of the whole painting. Each of these three works presents distinct yet linked themes addressing history and faith. Triptychs from this period were generally intended to be read sequentially, the left and right panels often portraying the Garden of Eden and the Last Judgment, while the main subject was contained in the center piece.
It is not known whether "The Garden of Earthly Delights" was intended as an altarpiece, but the general view is that the extreme subject matter of the inner center and right panels make it unlikely that it was made for a church or monastery. It has been housed in the Museum of Prado in Madrid, Spain since 1939.
