Wet, Windy and Wild Green Laning weekend in Wales with Ardventures

Camping and Green Laning in Wales on a guided tour with Russ from Ardventures.
Due to the forecast storm we were unsure what lanes we would be able to do, and Russ had a few back up plans in place in case some Lanes were deemed unsuitable due to river levels. As it happened, the lanes we did were perfect, the river levels on Strata Florida were high enough to keep it exciting and interesting, but not too deep or fast to be a concern for any of the vehicles on the trip.
Some of the bridges on day 1 were tight for the Grenadiars, but careful driving with direction from Russ we managed to get them all through.
After a team conference (in the local Curry house Saturday Evening), it was decided that all the vehicles and drivers on the trip were capable enough, so Sunday we headed for Happy Valley, it's been some years since I had drove this lane due to a closure on it, and what a treat to see it back open again, some nice technical bits, with very rewarding views over the valleys.
Russ and myself opted to camp for the weekend, whilst the rest of the guests on the trip opted for the sensible option of hotels. I must admit the rooftents did take some punishment in the wind, myself in the Bush Company LX27 and Russ in his Ikamper BDV, so both us us decided to pull the rooftents down at 4am on the Saturday morning for fear of damaging the tents, no damage occured, and I'm sure they would have been fine, but always better to air on the side of caution. Saturday night was a better nights sleep thankfully.
A great weekend of green laning, some great tracks, scenic roads, good food, good company and all in all a great weekend.
