SPOILERS for Episodes 1–2.
I got my hands on the first two episodes of Doctor Who’s new mini-series The War Between the Land and the Sea, and it sorta feels like a Classic Who story… without the Doctor. We’ve got UNIT trying to run international diplomacy (that'll go well...), a “normal guy” who is NOT ALONZO accidentally becoming the face of humanity, and the Sea Devils / “Homo Aqua” returning with a new look and a very clear message.
In this double-bill review, I break down the plot of Episodes 1–2, the reveal and negotiation scenes, the trash-rain escalation, what I loved (the vibe, the suspense, Kate actually working), and what made me yell at my screen (logistics, choices, and the name “Homo Aqua,” because come on...).
