we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mariam Mwajib as our new General Manager – the first ever female Muslim brass band manager in East Africa as far as we know! Mariam is a former player and has created a tailoring business that will keep her busy when the children are at school.
To celebrate this unique appointment, we also invited Mariam’s sister, Halima, our Principal Euphonium Player, to conduct the band! We like to think she is leading the way in showing the world that there are no barriers in music!
