The Glastonbury that never happened…

Worthy Pastures is usually the home to Glastonbury Festival. This year the legendary Worthy Farm was turned into a family friendly campsite, without the live music. It's Glastonbury... but not as you know it. Join us in our exploration of Worthy Pastures as we seek out the usual festival fields and sights and see what it looks like when the thousands of people, tents and miles of fencing is taken away and opened up to a pop up campsite over the summer of 2021.
A unique experience like no other. See things you would never see when Glastonbury is on, as we go 'behind the scenes' of the Worthy Farm fields.
We arrive by driving across the site behind the world famous pyramid stage, stripped down to just the structure looking across a grassy empty field. Some areas are now camping with x2 person, x4 person, and x6 person tents, and so much space! No falling over guy ropes here!
Our allocated camping was in the Undleground near what would be the South East Corner, unlike when Glastonbury Festival is on, this area was very chilled and quiet.
We had definitely missed all the amazing things worthy has to offer and we were delighted to be back to explore and find some familiar places such as Williams Green and the Stone Circle. We would even look out across other parts of the site that were not being used for the pop up camping such as the Silver Hayes area (where we usually work), and Arcadia's Pangea.
A range of food options, tons of activities and crafts, and even the Goose Hall Bar was open! From the joint charities field, hosting WaterAid, Greenpeace and Oxfam; to Yoga sessions in Michael Eavis' barn! We even painted a Glastonbury bin! Look out 2022!
We also got to visit the Glastonbury Tor. Usually this gets obscured by the many stages and flags during the festival itself so it was great to not only see it from site but head on down the road and walk up to take in an amazing view across 3 counties!
There was definitely the same Glastonbury magic still pulsing from the fields. A very well run pop up site, and one that could return in the future, but for now we hold this once in a lifetime experience like no other.
