We were delighted to host an inspiring discussion featuring the young voices of Aramis Mendoza, Cherease Lamm, and Ralston Raphael, who shared their journeys, challenges, and achievements in STEM.
Moderated by Ingrid Ellerbe, Executive Director of Diversity by Doing Healthtech, the discussion encompassed themes such as early STEM influences, navigating college and career choices, entrepreneurship, innovation, representation, and mentorship.
Our panelists, drawing from family inspirations and hands-on experiences, highlighted the pivotal moments that ignited their passion for STEM. They offered insights into overcoming academic challenges, shifting career paths, and discovering opportunities through internships and networking.
Throughout the conversation, our dynamic trio emphasized the transformative power of networking and the crucial role of connecting with industry leaders to unlock new opportunities. They shared invaluable insights on navigating their careers as Black professionals, underscoring the essential importance of representation, mentorship, and the strength found in community support. They also explored their strategies for self-advocacy within their fields and the significant benefits of engaging with professional organizations.
