Autumn has reached Kansai, and today I am in Hyogo Prefecture's Himeji City for a walk.
Himeji is most famous for its beautiful castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the few and largest original Japanese castles. In its grounds is Koko-en, a beautiful Japanese ornamental garden with several areas for different types of plants and scenery.

Himeji is a nice day trip from Osaka, taking about 90 minutes from JR Osaka Station.
