On May 4th, 2025, I visited Szeged to shoot together with my friend, Feco.
The event was the first round of the 2025 Historical Archery Tournament Series organized by the Hungarian Archery Federation, hosted by “Szegedi Szittyák.”
Since this was a national championship event in Hungary and I am a Slovak citizen without a Hungarian license, my score was not officially entered into the results system.
I scored 435 points. You can view the results of the other competitors here:

As far as I know, Feco and I were the only archers in the entire field using the thumb draw technique.
Our shared goal is to help make this historical style of archery more popular in Hungary.
I apologize for the historically inaccurate clothing. I'm currently working on making a kaftan, and my new boots are also in the works. Like many others in Hungary, I made the mistake of buying a so-called "Conquest-era Hungarian" boot before I had deeply researched the topic.
Bow: Wide Limb Tang "Dunhuang" Fiberglass Bow
Camera: DJI Osmo Action 4
