Cartilage has chondrocytes that maintain an extracellular matrix filled with type II collagen, proteoglycan, glycosaminoglycans and water. Let's have a look at a pretty example under the microscope and talk about hyaline cartilage, fibrocartilage, elastic cartilage and a little bit about the growth plate.
