What is FIRExTalk?

The FirexTalk one-day firefighter conference is designed to help fire service communities, organizations and individuals spark conversation and connection through a local TEDx-like experience.

At a FIRExTalk event, twenty 20 minute “talks on fire” are given by local presenters. Each presentation is professionally video recorded and placed on the FIRExTalk YouTube channel and website. This sparks conversation and connection at the local and national level. FIRExTalk events are planned and coordinated by FIRExTalk llc.
Patrick Fale has been a professional firefighter for the past 18 years. He worked as a Firefighter/ Paramedic for the City of McMinnville until 2001 when he made a move to Tualatin valley Fire & Rescue. Patrick Currently holds the rank of Captain and oversees service for the community of Raleigh Hills. For the past 10 years Patrick has committed himself to the study and art or leadership encompassing small unit concepts and organizational leaderships practices.
Patrick has been influential in directing leadership change organizationally. In 2009 Patrick saw a need to change the way leadership practices were being modeled in the Recruit Academy and probationary processes. These changes have been instrumental in the overall success of the program and have driven change from the ground up.
Patrick believes that Leading from the Front/ Upfront Leadership are the foundational leadership practices of any successful small unit, furthermore any failure within a team is either a failure to properly lead or train.
