How to Rearrange a Formula | HS.A-CED.A.4 🖤💙

In this video we will learn how to rearrange a formula. This is a two part question. We will be given the formula for finding the volume of a cylinder. We will be asked to rearrange the formula so that it is solve for h, the height, rather than V, the volume. We will also be asked to solve for r, the radius, rather than V, the volume. For each part we will begin by identify the variable term that we are solving or rearranging for. We will use properties of operations or inverse operations to isolate that variable on one side of the equation. We will perform the same operations to both sides of the formula to maintain equality. We will identify the correct solution from the given choices. An exemplar solution is modeled and explained.
