Usually open on the last Sunday of every month

It is possible to see if the tower is open from some distance for those with good eyesight, for the hosts will post a St George’s flag for when they are in attendance
Of note for those using an OS map, the most direct route from the car park is now heavily overgrown and just about impassable – it would be very steep in any case
I didn’t find the sign-posting very clear. The most obvious way is to walk up the drive from the car park and when after 100 yards or so you have to decide which way to go, take the option to turn left and progress in a clockwise direction
