Kanna Varuvaayo in Tamil literally translates to "Dear/Love, will you come?" The song was inspired by my little sister, who I'm always trying to call back to me :)

However, the song is actually written in the perspective of a mother-child relationship, specifically referencing the Hindu deity Lord Krishna and his foster mother Yashodha. If you understand Tamil, you may pick up on it in the pre-chorus (hint: starting from "vennai vaayaal").
