Louvre museum is a new attraction in Abudhabi which comprises of various sections. In the first section, art gallery, we can see many paintings and other crafts and statues. After that comes the dome section which as the name suggests is a dome shaped structure with few shops for refreshments. Food and water is not allowed inside the museum. We need to hand over our bag in the baggage counter. If an infant is there with us then 1 water bottle is allowed. We visited on a national day. So the entry was free and as expected it was too much over crowded.
The timing of the museum is
Monday to thursday- 10am to 6.30pm
Friday to sunday- 10am to 8.30pm
Apart from the art gallery and the dome we can see children's museum (which was closed when we visited) and other activities like dragon boat which takes a tour around the museum. It costs Aed 40 per person. If we are going in groups then it costs Aed 30 per person.
On the occasion of national day, few films were shown using a projector and a mini theater setup was made.
