Steam forum discussion revealed that the Alien will teleport when trapped in a room when it's not scripted to do so. I decided to test the theory. Don't get me wrong. Awesome game. I can see why they made it so you couldn't trap the Alien like this (albeit kinda disappointing for creative gamers). Just had to share for those curious.
You'll have to forgive the length. Don't have video editing software installed at the moment and uploaded this right off shadowplay.
