2025 WEY Blue Mountain in-depth Walkaround

The Wey Blue Mountain DHT-PHEV is a large SUV positioned as a strong competitor to the Li L8. It offers significant upgrades in its Intelligent Driving Edition. These upgrades elevate the SUV's overall performance, particularly in interior comfort and advanced self-driving capabilities, placing it on par with the Li L8. The Blue Mountain aims to deliver a premium driving experience while incorporating cutting-edge hybrid technology for efficiency and power.

At the heart of Blue Mountain is GWM’s Hi4 hybrid system, which combines a 1.5T E15BE petrol engine with two electric motors. The engine produces a maximum power of 125 kW, the rear-mounted electric motor delivers 220 kW and 410 Nm torque, and the smaller front motor generates 130 kW and 300 Nm torque. Together, the system achieves a combined output of 380 kW and an impressive 933 Nm of torque. The vehicle offers three driving modes: pure electric, pure electric priority, and intelligent hybrid, ensuring flexibility for various driving scenarios.

Powering the electric motors is a 44.5 kWh CATL battery, which allows for an all-electric range of 180 km WLTC or 215 km CLTC. When combining electric and petrol power, the SUV boasts a total range of over 1200 km WLTC or 1315 km CLTC. Despite its size, the Blue Mountain accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with a fuel consumption of 6.7 l/100 km. The dimensions of the vehicle measure 5156 x 1980 x 1805 mm, highlighting its substantial and commanding road presence.
