Why Child Support is Messed Up (Permanently)

With the pathetic outcome from the Family Law Inquiry, Australia's child support scheme is about as messed up as ever. So what went wrong?

The politicians on the Committee might actually believe they're helping kids and parents by sticking to the same old formula. They couldn't be more wrong.

Senator Pauline Hanson was the only committee member who could see major problems and wanted to take real action. Sadly, she was outnumbered.

The committee seemed oblivious to the many problems caused by the child support formula, including the fraud and rorting that happens routinely.
