Fallen Legion Revenants is the follow-up to Sins of an Empire—a game I genuinely enjoyed. But when I played Revenants (version 1.03), it left me conflicted. The combat and story had potential, but a number of clunky systems and pacing issues dragged things down.
Since then, later patches have reportedly addressed many of the quality-of-life issues I mentioned—but this review reflects the experience as it was when I played it.
