It was the beginning of September, and I headed out to the Swedish west coast to fish sea trout. Around this time of year, sea trout return to the shallow water after the warm summer months, so I wanted to see if they were back.
The conditions looked perfect: early morning, good wind, and high tide—even though the water was still quite warm. This summer had been exceptionally hot, but I hoped it wouldn’t affect the fishing.
And I was right. There was loads of sea trout in the shallow water, biting all the time! I had bites on lures and on the teaser fly—so much action!
