Running larger than OEM wheels/tires in my Toyota Supra MK3 made it necessary to make sure that the wheels do no not hit the fender, fenderliner, suspension parts, etc. when car's suspension and steering are in motion.
Correctly adjusting coilovers for bump travel is a way to make sure that wheels will freely move without any rubbing especially when fully compressed with damper body all the way to the bump stop.
