腰椎間盤內視鏡手術 - 「經神經孔全內視鏡椎間盤切除手術」適用於因椎間盤突出而導致坐骨神經痛的患者，這些患者感覺由臀部至小腿或腳掌的痛楚，痛楚於走路或久坐時增加。經藥物及物理治療後亦未能消除痛楚，而且經磁力共振掃描確定椎間盤突出壓迫神經線，便可考慮接受這手術。絕大部份椎間盤突出的患者，無論突出的椎間盤大或少，只要沒有脊椎骨移位及沒有骨刺壓住神經線，便可考慮接受「經神經孔全內視鏡椎間盤切除手術」。
Transforaminal Percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (t PELD) is applicable to most of the patient suffering from sciatica related to prolapsed lumbar or thoracic intervertebral disc. Patient may have pain from the lower back to the leg because of the prolapsed intervertebral disc. If confirmed on MRI scan and did not response well to conservative treatment including medication, physiotherapy, osteopath therapy, chiropractor therapy then one may consider this minimal invasive treatment. This surgery is usually performed without general anaesthesia. This treatment is applicable to small or large size prolapsed disc so far has there is no instability of the spine and there is no large osteophyte compressing on the spinal nerves. You may consult doctor experienced in treating patient with spine problems to see if you are suitable for this treatment.
