Repairing the oil-less piston in a Dewalt D55168 portable 15 gallon (56.6 Liter) air compressor.
This is a type 2 wheeled portable compressor.
I bought this compressor at auction at a good price. The piston is worn and the compressor no longer compresses. The flywheel shaft was also out of alignment which caused it to rub against the motor housing. This made it difficult for the motor to start.
These are the steps I used to bring it back into good working order.
