Tiny Mira’s fight: waiting for answers, hoping for healing for this little cat

A young man from Tulcea, Romania reached out to one of our rescue heroes after seeing a post by a passing tourist. What we saw broke our hearts. Mira was tiny—so small we thought she was a kitten. She was missing half of one back leg and had a painful wound on her nose.
Alone, malnourished, and barely surviving near an abandoned shack, Mira was in desperate need of help. We took her in and admitted her to a vet clinic in Tulcea.
Blood tests, deworming, treatment… and a bit of hope. Her results were better than expected, and she tested negative for FIV and FeLV. After a week, she was strong enough to be spayed.
During surgery, we took a sample from her nose for cytology. The vet suspects cancer—but we’re holding onto hope. There are other possibilities, and we’re waiting for the results.
Mira didn’t deserve this suffering. But we’re grateful we didn’t look away. She’s now safe, cared for, and surrounded by love.
Whatever the diagnosis, we’ll fight for Mira. She deserves a future filled with safety, warmth, and kindness.
