So I've got a gig at Mojo's Bar this Thursday where I am doing a solo set as a support for Simon Kelly's CD launch. I'm pretty excited about the show and I am keen to throw in a few more tricks and a new few songs I have worked on since my last solo gig. I like the idea of playing as just a guitarist and singer in a raw way but because I also play percussion and want to learn more aspect about composition, I began to use a loop pedal to be able to layer parts. This enable me to practice different vocal techniques and frees me up to play guitar or percussion solos if I want to.
Tonight I set up at home to make friends a little bit more with the looper! Here is a the newest tune I have been working which is purely instrumental at this stage but will have vocals too soon!
At this stage, it is called "The New E Thing".
