A really neat cast choice in London featuring Bernadette Peters as the witch, Johanna Gleason as the baker's wife, Chip Zien as the baker, Ben Wright as Jack, Barbra Bryne as Jack's mother, Danielle Ferland as the girl in a red hood, Kim Cosby as Cinderella, Tom Aldredge as the story teller, Joy Franz and Lauren Mitchell as Cinderella's step-sisters, Kay McClelland as Cinderella's step-mother and Edmund Lyndeck as Cinderella's father.
BBC Recordings saved a master piece; makes you wish if just the same happened with the original cast of the Phantom of the opera.
