Scan conversion translates objects defined by mathematical equations (such as a line from point A to B) into actual dots and lines that light up on the grid of pixels (screen display). It decides which pixels should be switched ON (or filled) to best represent the continuous curve or shape. This process ensures smooth and accurate rendering of graphics objects.
