FNF prez Eddie Muller responds to film noir fan questions fielded by the Foundation's Director of Communications Anne Hockens. In this episode, we discuss “Maxxxine”, Lizbeth Scott, New York noir, why we haven’t had a NOIR CITY New York, and more. We wind up this week’s show answering the question, “If you could create a film noir and cast anyone you wanted, who would be in your dream cast?” On the cat front, Emily is a background player and Charlotte takes center stage.

1. I’m curious to hear Anne’s evaluation of “Maxxxine”, and whether it met her expectations.

2. II have a couple of questions regarding film restoration: #1) Are either of you directly involved with the film restoration process? If so, could you please tell us more? #2) Is it possible to tour any film restoration facilities? Any suggestions or recommendations?

3. Can you think of other examples of noir fiction that have been too hot or controversial for Hollywood (or elsewhere) to touch? Also, have you ever held a festival in New York City, and might you consider doing so in the future?
