The Tissington Trail happened to coincide with the Tissington Well Dressing Festival, (celebrating the village's water supply.) So that made entertainment to join in with the festive mood. Apparently there were 6 well displays decorated from natural materials. Also nice to see a thriving community spirit particularly for refreshments in the Community Hall. (Just to mention correction to parking at the end of film. Should be parking in Parwich village and not Bolton by Bowling).
Although mid summer when walked, the weather was quite blustery then later rained before we compled the full trail. The full Tissington Trail is a bridleway footpath part of a former railway line between Ashbourne and Buxton.
Once again a most enjoyable route despite not all the paths being evident to follow.
We parked and started from the village of Parwich near Ashbourne.
