In this video, we’ll do a live demo of one of the most common PostgreSQL production issues:
WAL files growing continuously until disk becomes full due to an inactive logical replication slot.
When a subscriber database is down or not consuming changes, PostgreSQL will retain WAL files on the publisher side to protect replication. Over time, this can cause the pg_wal directory to grow, leading to disk space alerts and even database outage.
