This 6 mile out & back starts near the north end of Lake McDonald and meanders along McDonald Creek past McDonald Falls, Sacred Dancing Cascade, and to McDonald Creek overlook. The Going-To-The-Sun Road is on the opposite side of the creek than the trail. Be sure to exercise personal responsibility and safety as you approach the creek and the falls - especially when it is wet and slippery. More people die in Glacier National Park from drowning than any other cause. Enjoy!
