HX35 Turbo vs 125hp Injectors

HX35 Turbo vs. 125hp Injectors. After driving with the hx35 on the truck for a few days, we can get an idea of how the EGT's have changed if they've changed at all. I certainly see some differences in them while banging up hills in the 24 valve cummins. The egt's seem to ride around a couple hundred degrees lower than they did with the hy35 turbo installed on the truck. The extra fuel from the 125hp injectors (7x.095 SAC) helps the hx35 to create more boost for the 24 valve but also are capable of causing egt's to get hot quickly. You can get more boost out of the hx35 with stock injectors and fueling also, but you will be more limited on what you can get from it. I'd have to say that so far I am pretty happy with the outcome of the hx35 turbo and we will be playing around with the Diesel Auto Power adjustable boost elbow soon to see what we can pinch out of the turbo for boost numbers. I do need to order in new intercooler boots because as you can hear in this video, I have a nice howling sound that I believe to be a boost leak. I think the old hx35 killed the old intercooler boots on the cummins. I'll get that fixed up though and continue to see how far we can push these 125hp injectors on stock turbo.
