My 20 Million Dollar Photo Shoot for Supercat Fest 4 Kids

Back in April of this year (2024), I was asked to produce a large scale photo shoot for Supercat Fest 4 Kids – a large power boat charity event taking place in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Supercat Fest hosts several events throughout the year where lots of very fast, very exotic and very expensive high performance power boats converge for a weekend of high performance boating, while also raising funds for local charities.

On this particular weekend, the owner/promotor of Supercat Fest asked if I could set up a photo shoot to capture 3 large catamaran powerboats (aka: supercats) and a private jet for use in promoting the exclusive event. With less than a week to plan, I was able to arrange for 3 of the boat owners to meet me at the Lake Havasu airport where we would pose them on the tarmac with a beautiful private jet to create one of those aspirational, “field of dreams” kind of photos for posterity.

Fast forward to August and we head to Lake of the Ozarks for the largest powerboat event in the country, where thousands descend on the lake to enjoy a week of boating events and help raise money for charity. Join us as we take you through the setup and shooting of this amazing scene, and then auction off a 6 foot wide acrylic print at the Supercat Fest 4 Kids charity event at the Camden on the Lake hotel!
