NEW Coral Red Pencilfish Spawning (Nannostomus mortenthaleri)

Today I noticed my Coral Red Pencilfish (aka...Red Arc Pencilfish) spawning. This was quite the surprise since I’ve only had them a week. Many sources say these are challenging to breed, however other sources say they’re relatively easy. I’m sure if any fry hatch in the tank they will quickly be eaten by the adults. In the coming weeks I will focus on removing the eggs, or removing the adults and checking for hatched fry.
