🌈 About Forte Toronto Gay Men’s Chorus:

Forte Toronto is a diverse and inclusive community of skilled singers passionate about creating emotive musical experiences. Our Rainbow Railroad concert tells the diverse stories of newcomers to a place like Canada. Coming from unfriendly, often hostile and sometimes dangerous lands, to a place where diversity is welcomed and celebrated.

Let the River Run, written by Carly Simon, opened our Rainbow Railroad Pride Concert. The song takes imagery from the Book of Revelations and the poetry of William Blake. The phrase “new Jerusalem” is a reference to the second coming, wherein Jesus establishes a new heaven on earth. In so many ways, it beautifully summarizes the journey made by so many who have built a new life here in Canada, in their own new Jerusalem.
