Revenge of the Nerds is a 1984 comedy film directed by Jeff Kanew and centered on the adventures of a group of American students who are ostracized by their high school peers because they are clumsy, unkempt and seemingly inexperienced, despite their excellent academic performance, and are therefore nerds, not in line with the fashion and daring lifestyle of the majority.
A funny promotional poster portrayed two characters with bizarre clothing and accessories.
In the following years, several sequels were made, such as Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987) and Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (1992), and in 1994 the TV movie Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love was made.

Revenge of the Nerds è una commedia del 1984 diretta da Jeff Kanew e incentrata sulle vicende di un gruppo di studenti americani emarginati dai propri coetanei liceali perché goffi, trasandati e dall'apparenza di sprovveduti, nonostante l'ottimo profitto scolastico, dunque dei nerd, non in linea con la moda e lo stile di vita audace della maggioranza.
Una divertente locandina promozionale ritraeva due personaggi con abbigliamento ed accessori bizzarri.
Negli anni seguenti sono stati realizzati diversi seguiti, come La rivincita dei nerds II - Nerds in paradiso (1987) e La rivincita dei nerds III - The next generation (1992), inoltre nel 1994 è stato realizzato il film TV La rivincita dei nerds IV - Nerds in love.
