I’ve been testing the brand new RAV Anima, and honestly… It’s something completely different.
This instrument introduces a fresh concept to the RAV family — it’s built around five central chords (F major, G major, A minor, C major, and D minor), some of the most universally recognized and emotionally charged chords in modern music. When you hit one of those main tongues, you’re not just playing a note — you’re playing a whole chord. 🔥
Around them are nine extra tongues tuned to the Celtic Minor scale, so everything blends beautifully. It’s extremely intuitive to play, and regardless of your approach, it always sounds musical.
I’m still discovering what this design can really do, but one thing’s clear:
