In the Porous Media Lab we focus on the complex flow and reactive transport processes in all sorts of porous materials through the combination of experimental methods in the lab, real-time imaging and numerical modelling. In our lab, we produce fundamental results for geoscientific studies, including groundwater remediation, particle clogging and biomass growth in the subsurface environment but we also extend our research into engineering, biological, and medical applications related to porous materials.
